I know if you hit the pick 6 you also have 5 multiple times- How many? and how do you figure it out?

Depends on your ticket structure, but yes, you will get 5 of 6 at least once.
For example:
A ticket that reads

1 w 1 w 1 w 1 w 1 w 1,2 that hits the first 5 legs (all singles) but misses the last leg would get you 2 five of six consos. If the ticket hits all six then you also have one 5 of 6 conso. Don't know of any formula other than examining your tickets before the last leg, but I am sure someone does.

just add up total number of horses on your ticket and subtract 6 to get # of consos (on a winning caveman ticket).

How would you get 2 if you miss hte last leg? You only have the first (5) one conso right? going by what was posted before you would have 7 horses on the ticket subtract one and get 1 conso? or am I confused

the subtracting 6 part is only if you hit, in his example you missed the last leg, so not a pick 6 winner.

if you have 6/6 on ticket -- subtract 6 from total number of horses to get # of consos. Every non-winner on the ticket is equal to one consolation.

if you only get 5/6 -- your consos equal number of horses you had in leg you missed. Every non-winner in the race you missed only is equal to one consolation.

Well if I singled all the way thru and hit with 6 horses -subtracting 6 equals zero and I know I ahve atleast (5) two times?

If you play a single ticket (with both of the last leg horses on 1 ticket, costing say, $4), then it's only 1 conso. But if you play 2 different tickets (with each one of the last 2 horses separated, costing $2 each), then there are 2 separate tickets, & you get 2 consos.

That's what I understood.

If you play a

1 w 1 w 1 w 1 w 1 w 1,2 and the races come:

1 1 1 1 1 5 you have hit two 5 of 6 consos. You have 2 tickets that read:

1 w 1 w 1 w 1 w 1 w 1 and 1 w 1 w 1 w 1 w 1 w 2 so you would get 5 of 6 two times...dig?

what do you mean singled all the way through? No losing tickets?

If you singled every race and hit the pick 6 (aside from your name being Derrick Davis), you do not have any consolations. You need to have a losing horse somewhere in the sequence to turn the other five winners into a consolation.

Another example with two horses in each leg might make it easier to understand (inside bias today), Using the 1 and 2 horse in each leg of the pick 6:

1,2 with 1,2 with 1,2 with 1,2 with 1,2 with 1,2 = 64 combinations ($128)

Let's say the uno dog sweeps the board, so you'd have:

1-1-1-1-1-1 = one ticket with six winners
2-1-1-1-1-1 = five out of six
1-2-1-1-1-1 = five out of six
1-1-2-1-1-1 = five out of six
1-1-1-2-1-1 = five out of six
1-1-1-1-2-1 = five out of six
1-1-1-1-1-2 = five out of six

A single perfect ticket, and six consolation tickets.

When trying to calculate how many consolation tickets you have with other types of tickets, zero in on the leg with the fewest number of horses. A single anywhere on the ticket means you don't have any 5 of 6 consolations, assuming you hit all six legs. So, if you had:

1,2 with 1,2,3 with 1,2,3,4 with 1 with 1,2 with 1,2,3,4,5 = 240 combinations

and the uno dog sweeps, you'd have the Pick 6 once, and zero consolation tickets, since the 4th leg is a single.

Hope that helps....

If this is a pick 6 ticket then the information given is incorrect. One will definitely have consolations with a single on the ticket. The only time this is not true is with a straight ticket with a single in every race.

My understanding is(as stated on tvg Sunday during the pick-6) If u hit the pick 6 you automatically have 5 several toimes. If Im 5 for 5 going into the last leg and hit I still get paid for 5 Todd schmuck without knowing anyones ticket concluded they would have 5 like 20x? You dont lose your 5 out of 5 payouts because u hit 6

You don't get paid twice on a single ticket. If your P6 ticket consists of only 1 horse in every race and you win all 6 taces you receive the 6 out of 6 payoff and 0 consos.

If you play multiple horses in some or all races and hit all 6 then you will receive one 6 out of 6 payoff and consos based on the total number of horses played -6.

I ask Phantomontour, how many consos does HW has? I agree with carlonr.

Thanx.

Thanx.

Off the top of my head, he has eleven consolations.

Alternating 5 winning legs, with the single alive in each consolation, I count 11.

Am I wrong?

I also get 11.

Right. And 17 - 6 is also 11, so the formula works. The only way you don't have any consolations if you pick 6 winners is if you singled every race.
