Excerpt:

To wit, Hollywood Park and its horsemen knew the meet wouldn't be that great so rather than try to improve racing's standing at all by investing in its potential growth, they just took all the money for themselves

Is there a track anywhere else in the U.S. that would have gotten less than 12,000 for an appearance by Zenyatta in a marquee race? I doubt it.

You would be bothered if you knew what Hollywood paid for the so called bands to play on Friday night. That is where their budget went.

Now I want you to stop talking about Jack Liebau this way! Jack and Martin Panza are doing their level best to guide the death of the track in as a quietly as they can. It's NOT true that Jack just eats the buffet in the Director's Room and Martin just chases the p***y on the third floor while talking tough about getting after those trainers who stall horses without running them. Not true at all. Those trainer bastards got theirs now didn't they!
