Not one post on opening day, pretty sad state of affairs. I was impressed with Twirling Candy who won the Oceanside stakes on the lawn. The track played to closers except the last race wire job. Now on to Saratoga, as I made my contribution to the California economy.

Very impressive performance especially running down Macias on a fairly easy lead. We'll see what the number is.

tvg kept showing all the "beautiful people" and the hats......i guess that's become the focal point of california racing.
