Sorry, I don't know much about racing, just got into it after I recently adopted DON'TBEATATTLETALE from Tranquility Farms. I googled him name and this site popped up. Does anyone remember ANYTHING about this horse, temperment, how he finished a race, his jockey(I know his people were the Amerman LLC).

Sorry if this annoys people or if it's in the wrong place. I'm really curious about his past racing career.

Pedigreequery.com has his stats as only three starts with one win and second place , twice . Having been in the money all of his starts was impressive so i wonder what went wrong , career ending injury?

His earnings are reported as 46,400 .
His Sire is Tale of the Cat.
Dam , Shanghai Gold
You can probably get more details on Equibase for a small fee.

Looks like he ran in SoCal (Santa Anita), like you said ran 4 starts, 1 win 2 seconds. Looked pretty nice going long on the turf! Looks like its last race it ran dead last, could he have picked up an injury there? That's what it seems to me.

You can get a few details via Equibase for free, if you're willing to dig a little.

Didn't take the time to pull all the charts, but you can do that for free if you register.

First start at Aqu on Apr 16, 2006 (http://www.equibase.com/premium/eqbPDFChartPlus.cfm?BORP=P&STYLE=EQB&DAY=D&tid=AQU&dt=04/14/2006&ctry=USA&race=4) (race 4). Next race at Santa Anita nearly a year later on Feb. 3, 2007 (http://www.equibase.com/premium/eqbPDFChartPlus.cfm?BORP=P&STYLE=EQB&DAY=D&tid=SA&dt=02/03/2007&ctry=USA&race=6) (race 6). I'm assuming he won as he moved from MSW to ALW for his final two starts on March 10 (http://www.equibase.com/premium/eqbPDFChartPlus.cfm?BORP=P&STYLE=EQB&DAY=D&tid=SA&dt=03/10/2007&ctry=USA&race=4) (race 4) and March 31 (http://www.equibase.com/premium/eqbPDFChartPlus.cfm?BORP=P&STYLE=EQB&DAY=D&tid=SA&dt=03/31/2007&ctry=USA&race=7)(race 7).

From the chart of his last start, he was owned at that time (as the OP said) by Ameman Racing Stables, LLC; trained by David Hofmans; and ridden that day by Richard Migliore.

I wonder if the Jockey Club would approve DON'TBEARATBASTID?

Congratulations! It looks like you've had him for 6 months. Did you get to see Mananan Mclir when you were at TF?

The dates that FenceBored posted should allow you to download his 4 charts. Beyond that there isn't much of a record. I updated his PQ page with what I found. He sold for $105k as a yearling.

If you want a win photo of his only win you can contact http://benoitphoto.com/
It appears that he charges $25 for a composite or action photo, but it may be more since he's pulling it from 3 years ago. I forget what he charges for shipping, but it's usually $5-6 for one or more photos.
Make sure you have this info ready: DON'TBEATATTLETALE Santa Anita 2/03/07 Race 6 Maiden Special Weight

whitneyndbat...welcome and congratulations on your rescue horse...pedigree query also has a photo of him. From his history, I think we'd all agree, he most probably had some soundness issues. If you can get in touch with Hoffman's, he'd probably be able to tell you a little about your horse. Didn't Tranquility have info on him for you/
Anyway...I wish you great good luck with him...keep us posted on his progress, that'd be interesting...what do you plan for him?

Thanks for the correction , many charts are free.

Ya I knew his pedigree but that's it, I'm still trying to get the Amermans to give me the original Papers on him... I have to find their e-mail first... ^^.

He had a suspensory Injury on his left front leg. He had just finished rehab when I went to go look at him. I'm so happy about him, he's just enough horse(if maybe too much sometimes...). But anyways, thanks for all the info!

Haha no, I wish I went and looked at all the champions while I was there though, all we looked at was the horses out for adoption. But they have this gorgeous chestnut out for adoption who was there next to donte for rehab, OMG he's Gorgeous! It's Firelook out I believe but I was like... I want that one, but he was injured then, and waaaay too much horse for me to handle(was just gelded so he was crazy at the time, I'm not good around stallions haha, too nice to them, they walk all over me.. ^^)

What's that?

you sign on out of the blue....... and in a few hours have a ton of info on an obscure horse that only ran 3 races........you got a link to info on how to get a Winners circle picture and more.....

This place is full of some great people who are both in and out of the business and they didn't hesitate to jump in and help you out. I hope you enjoy your horse. Winning at Santa Anita is no small accomplishment for any horse, no matter what condition he is in now. He is a winner!

Thanks JustRalph and everyone else. You all are so nice. And trust me, I'm not a good person like you think, the very LAST thing I wanted was a TB after I rode a nervous TB mare that would still probably win any race at the age of 17, she roke records aparently, she was very sweet and not dangerous... just way too much horse power for me and we were always on... 'groundhogs day'(repeating) so when my mom saw the site I was like... uhh... sure? And he's the LAZIEST TB ever! Haha he hates getting forward, and he's sound so he's not hurting, had the vet check him over, said she couldn't even see his suspensory on the ultrasound it was so healed up. SO I think I got VERY VERY lucky with him. Everyone at the barn keeps telling me this anyways haha.

And he's always been a winner in my eyes, now we just have to show everyone else his stuff and clean house in Dressage(not gonna do jumping cause I hate jumping personally when I do it and because of suspensory, plus I don't want to make him lame)

The reason you don't have his foal cert. is so he wont be able to run again, just take care of him and you will have many good years with him, sounds like he is only 6 0r 7 yrs old. Thank you for adopting him.

He turned seven on April 17, or you could just count it as January 1st. And we already signed a form saying we wouldn't race him so I don't understand why they won't give me the papers, I need it for showing where I live. But I guess you never know right?
