For years I have promoted to everyone (especially since Fierro's Four Quarters of Horse Investing) that there are TWO SEPARATE game to overcome at the track and educators fail miserably in teaching the latter: wagering.
I have been attending midweek sessions with a tournament player who uses htr2 and once at the track, he rarely even looks at the handicapping (the animals are already prioritized) and spends ALL his time finding the situations where a wager is not a gamble but an investment.
Enlightening education.
