Same thing happens here in Illinois where people go into Indiana for their cigarettes. Of course that only works if you live near the border.

If you regularly buy smokes outside of Cook County/city of Chicago you'll save about a buck a pack currently by buying in Indiana. The difference from Cook/Chicago is 3-4 a pack. The savings used to be much greater up until early last year.

Well, I suppose that Vermont will raise the tax to the NY level - just think how much more money they would make!! :rolleyes:
