And that goes for any pet. Several months ago, my wife goes out to the garage (which we usually keep open when we're home) and gets greeted by a huge, but very friendly and obviously hungry cat. The cat was well groomed, so it was someone's house cat at one time. Furthermore, the owners had him declawed in the front. Evidently, someone turned this defenseless cat loose -- perhaps with an "apology", too. Of course, my wife took the big fella in and we keep him out on our patio alone, separate from the 9 cats who live under roof with us. But he appears to be a happy camper.
