In the late 70's early 80's when I first started going to the horseraces I used to purchase systems from an outfit entitled DOMINO's later they became Discount Systems. You used to get systems copied on small sheets of paper and I guess they had all kinds of problems with the original sellers for 'pirate' tactics.
Anyway, I purchased one where you would compare the win and place pools divided by the show pool and the one with the highest ratio which wasnt the favorite would be your play. Then I saw another one where you divided the place and win pools and got a ratio.
I was wondering if anybody actually used a method or method like this one and which ratios were the best. I know later on DR Z would look in the place and show pools for discrepencies but I am more interested in a win bet.
