I'd expect this to be the trend the next couple days in the north east. Got my AC going full blast right now and still sweating at my desk. It's going to be brutal out there for both man and beast

Hey, get some huge fans going and blow some of that hot air back here to the Rockies...we're freezing!! Had some 99 degree days, then it dropped into the 60's...beleive it or not...we turned our house heater on this morning...what's going on with the weather? this sucks!

Al.......pull your filters if you can get to them........running without them for a day or two won't hurt anything and you will get up to 20 percent more airflow and cooling depending on the unit..........

They actually came up with a better solution than that. We're leaving early.

BTW as predicted Belmont will cancel racing tomorrow.

I see Delaware stopped after a couple of races. I'm assuming it was heat related like the others.

I downloaded a data file for Delaware today. Anyone know Brisnet's cancellation policy? How many races must be run, etc.?

Onion I'd like to know as well. I got PPs from Equibase for Philly and Delaware this morning, made a 45min drive up to Arlington Trackside (stopped by the barn to see the horses), and found Philly cancelled and Delaware cancelled after 3. This left me with............Fairmount Park.

tbwinner, I e-mailed Bris and they said their policy is 3 or fewer races and you get a refund. Four races is the cut-off point.

There's no harm in taking a day off from wagering...wish we could take a day off from sweating here. The LOW was 83 last night. Lovely.

The difference will be the humidity, the heat isn't really that bad with 40% humidity but at 66% it is hard to be outside.
