8 yrs ago at Saratoga, I had the pleasure of meeting Barbi Moline.
Barbi, a Florida resident, has been instrumental in placing retired racehorses in good, safe homes and has worked feverishly to raise funds and prevent horses from abuse and neglect after their careers are over.
I've just read on Bloodhorse.com... (linked from the PA home page)... That Barbi has won the DOGWOOD DOMINION award for her efforts.
She is very deserving and can be proud of the service she provides this industry.
The powers that run racing should take note of her suggestions and find a way to alot a small percentage of the handle nationwide to fund her honest and sincere efforts.:ThmbUp: :ThmbUp:
