Hey, that looked like a 1 turn mile race at Arlington on the backstretch.

I hope he doesn't demand Overtime pay for that extra work.

Maybe all the jocks misjudged the finish? :)

The fix was in ! I've heard of stiffing a horse, but when more than 1/2 the field pulls up..........

Hey, I feel for the guy. Who hasn't screwed up like that. This guy did it in public and it was recorded for posterity. So he isn't the second coming of Fred Capossela.

It was funny though. He's probably still hearing about it and will for many years.

Pretty sure I have seen another video from Grants Pass where the announce called the end of the race and they had another lap to go. Did a search but couldn't find it. Could see it happen easily if he had the wrong page of the program open.

Funny Stuff as I was a mutual clerk for Magna via Portland Meadows in 2000 at this small track in Southern Oregon.

Then it can only get better, as there is ample room for improvement.

I heard it was Jorge Carreno calling the race, but I didn't notice his accent...

I thought that happened at Turf Paradise for some reason. Within the last half a decade.

No admission from him  , unless he did it afterwards.

See above, well back one page and above. I believe that is what you are referring to... it'd be bad enough to be the announcer, but at least the viewing public doesn't see you do a fist pump 7.5f from the finish...
