combining race types for testing

I'm doing some testing against my data base for allowance races. Is it ok to combine the 3 types, starter allowance, allowance optional claiming, and allowance all under the allowance race type? basically they're all allowance races , aren't they?

Starter races are goofy. They need to be separated out into their own database. Then, delete that database.

I agree, they are strange. A lot of games are played with getting horses eligible.

Starter Allowance is the low level Allow, it is around 16000 clm at Hol
and SA....Nwx1 is diffrent from nwx2....Nwx1 is around 50clm
nwx2 is around 62clm nwx3 is around 80clm......So break all allow down
in diffrent classes

California STR races are different from most other circuits. They are only for cheap MCL winners.

Starter allowance races have always seemed to be written by the racing secretary for some trainer who in the past may have helped him fill a card.

I used to check to whom this may apply but it was too much guesswork. I now largely ignore them.

Other handicap tip....Is that you have to have faith in your program
and not go to program to program, all over the place, that won't work
you have to stick with ONE handicap Program....If a person goes hipie
hop to different program, thats not good at all....

thanks for the feedback. sounds like I should keep the allowance race types separate. I was just looking to create a larger sample for testing but it would require a little extra work of renaming race types so I'll just take the advice here and keep them separate. :ThmbUp:
