Belmont Park continues to card a majority of grass races to make up for the inability to fill their dirt races.

If there were periods of rainy weather we'd all be moaning about the depleted off-the-turf fields - in addition to the already barren dirt racing product.

Instead we're getting reports of how "Business is Brisk" at Belmont
despite the numbers being lower this meet compared to last year.

That makes me wonder about the friends of NYRA and other so called spin doctors in the media.

As for the attendance for last Friday's Twilight Card, the Billy Joel cover band
Big Shot may have had a lot to do with the inflated figures. I'm guessing they played his tune Easy Money.
