I just want to point out on how many levels, the hollywood park race 2 ride was picture, freaking perfect.
1. he did not think becuase he was on the even money shot, he could say screw it and just go nuts.
2. he sat 4-5 behind a dueling 3 in front of him in the back stretch
3. on the turn, he darted inside and saved a bunch of ground, that he needed to save becuase he won by a head.
most of the jockeys in that colony would have lost that race.

I wouldn't get too excited about him, looking at his stats, he hits at 10%, and the average field size is close to 7.
I do like his horse in the last race though.

And on the other hand in the 4th he's supposed to get the lead, catches a flyer out of the gate and then doesn't go for it. The split second decision to grab the horse gave him no chance. This horse was a need the lead type at a perfect distance of 5 furlongs.
Now in the fifth he rides great and fights all the way home. I'm sure he got chewed out after the last race.

What was so great about that ride? like Vic said he got the absolute perfect trip,on the turn he couldn't go wide if he tried, the 6 went wide so he had no choice but to stay inside, then a hole as big as grand canyon opens between the 3 and the 4 and he shoots through it. That was a great ride? My dog Willow could have been riding this horse and it would have won just the same .

exaggerate much?
considering he damn near had to check, that hole was not as big as the grand canyon.
