He just came home from golf and said, "I didn't know the World Cup was on tape delay" I said it isn't.. He said at the golf course it was 0-0 on TV, but someone said, "Oh they won 1-0"

It's live, right??

Yes - it's as live as you can broadcast from half way around the world.

Yes, it's live and the US scored the only goal of the match during extra time -- almost literally at the last minute. That might explain the apparent discreptancy beteen the nil-nil and the 1-0 scores he heard.

Watching it here in UK, but speaking with family back in States during a game, I'm about 8 - 10 seconds ahead of USA TV action.

It's both in Canada.

All games are live, but because of the intense interest in the sport, they're all taped for later viewing on the same day.

8-10 second delay and 8-10 hours ahead!
