EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Harness racing driver Richard Silverman remained in intensive care at a New Jersey hospital Saturday, one day after he was hurt in a spill at the Meadowlands Racetrack that injured three other drivers and unseated six overall.

Well known source reports that Silverman is currently on ventilator, in drug induced coma, to reduce swelling. Hang tough Ritchie....a longtime aquaintence since we were kids.

Update. RS can't walk for awhile, but is on the mend and to be released to continue healing at home soon.

yessss..in the late 80's and early 90's..Silverman had some of the best young horses around...
