You suggested at the last CHRB meeting in May that the board could strip MI Developments of one of its two licenses, as owner of Santa Anita Park and Golden Gate Fields, because of the racing law stating one entity cannot hold two or more racing licenses unless it can be proven it’s in the best interests of California. Is that a threat?

They hold three licenses, not two. Along with Golden Gate and Santa Anita, they have an ADW license through XpressBet. The law is pretty clear that you can only have one license. It needs to be in the public interest to waive that law.


So are you ready to strip them of one of those licenses?

I want to see what they are going to do. They haven’t provided us with any picture of how they intend to operate. That’s what the purpose of Frank Stronach’s appearance is, I am told. He is going to lay out his vision for California racing.

Yes, The Audio will be available through the CHRB website on a one time basis beginning at 9:30AM Tuesday, June 22.

After that the CHRB will ask for new bids for a one year contract for audio only for future meetings of the CHRB from interested providers per Mike Marten,Information Officer for the CHRB.

Just my opinion but the KY vs. CA by the colt/fillie's name will be worth $10k more per head at sale.
