Reading some of the posts, it appears that live races are available on the internet. I am particlualy interested in NYRA tracks. I live in one of the very few areas on Long Island that gets neither NYRA's racing channel or the OTB channel. Any suggestions?

If you open a phone bet account with Philly Park phone bet you can see NYRA live racing via the net using "Real Video". The streaming video feed is through
http://www.racingchannel.com/
It is free, but you have to do the paperwork to open a phone bet account which is also free. The video quality depends on your equipment and internet connection. Audio quality is ok.
Good Luck, FH

FH,
Good to hear from you again.
Since the sutdown of TRN the quality of the video from Philly Park has fallen significantly. (I have a 1.2mb connection and the picture reminds me of when I used to have a 56k connect.)
I assume that this is due to the increased load of the subscribers left without a TV to watch.
Nevertheless, it is still the best (only?) show in town for many of us.

That's weird Dave, I haven't noticed any drop in the quality of the Phila Park feed.
