Anyone have handicapping experience on the UK tracks? I'm trying to figure out my picks for Saturday's visit to Ascot, and have no clue where to start.

You are in for a treat!

racingpost.com is worth a look....the printed version on sale at news stores
is the equivalent of our DRF. Past performances are not the same, as races are far less uniform over there, being run at varying paces and surfaces.

There is probably a market for improved ratings/speed figures over there,
but if you managed to produce a good product, you would make more from betting your selections at fixed bookmaker odds, than you would selling them.

Timeform will have a ratings card on sale at the track - might be worth getting. After that, you're on your own! The public will be all over the horses coming from the top connections. Hot trainers, jockeys usually get hammered in the betting. Pay attention to physical appearance of horses in the paddock.
That can be a big help.

I notice that Ken McPeek has a 2 year old in the first race on Saturday.
He may be worth betting if he is decent odds.

Enjoy a great day of racing!
Good luck to you!
