I was in the northeast Sunday. Experienced plane delays, tornado warnings etc. The weather wasn't gorgeous.

I believe Belmont has never run the day after the Belmont Stakes.

Both Pimlico and Churchill take the day off after their Triple Crown race. Belmont used to run but started taking Sunday off a few years back.
What's the big deal? They ran on Monday so they did put on 5 live cards last week...maybe they cannot run six days in a week by law or something.

I remember chasing a big P6 carryover the day after Sarava won the Belmont. I hit 5 of 6 and got a whopping $28...lost money.

I don't think he is planning his schedule around the wants of degenerates.

I believe Belmont has never run the day after the Belmont Stakes.

Actually they did until just recently, but decided they needed to take the extra day. There is a lot of cleaning up to do and the staff has just gotten done with three very trying weeks, some doing 12 hr+ days 7 days a week if a TC is on the line. It's a good day to take off and they already had made up for it by running the Wednesday after Memorial Day, something they didn't do for some time.

Has Sundays ever been for running females' top races?

Look on the bright (?) side. On Wednesday morning TVG is very likely to devote a segment called "Pick 6 Central" to their loyal viewers. The hosts will offer their expert (?) analysis and sage advice on how to get a share of the huge jackpot. Now then, isnt that worth waiting for?;)
