Atlantic City Simo Schedules??

Anyone know where I could locate online a few simo schedules of tracks being covered for any of the Atlantic City casinos?

I think we are heading down there tomorrow afternoon and I wanted to see who was carrying what.

Most of the casino hotels in A.C. really don't care much about their race books and neglect to post schedules on their web sites.

In general places like Bally's , including the Wild West, Resorts , Taj, Trop carry a broad range of race tracks. All major tracks and many minor circuits. If you like Woodbine they do not simulcast from there.

The Showboat has a very small race book and usually does not carry as many races as the others. I go down about 4 times a year. I prefer Bally's and Bally's Wild West.

Resorts used to have a pretty decent race book, but I was down there in May and was dissapointed to find that it was reduced to a two row 24 seat BOX :mad:

Ballys (I think) is the best one. They have the racebook on the 6th floor and its totally separate from the casino.

Wild Wild West would be nice if they would somehow enclose it.

You are dead right about that. Most of the race books suck in A.C. Bally's is definately the best. Cheap beer also :)

The Borgata just opened recently. Might be worth to call and inquire about their race book. Has to be better than most. Unfortunately its on the bay near Harrah's. Bad location.

The Borgata has a fantastic race book. Each seat comes equipped a beautiful flat-screen TV set, I'd say a 9 inch screen, bigger than the usual individual book-style tv, and most of the seats have a Tiny Tim, so you can place your bets without getting up. The bad news? There are only about 30 seats! Get there early, or stand in the back all day and beat the guy next to you to the seat when the dude who's been sitting there reading the paper gets up. Better yet, go to Bally's and enjoy your space.

Speaking of this situation, I was thinking about this when I was down there a few weeks back: They have these bets posted at every table on the floor, and the slots have a minimum in that every machine is a certain denomination ($1 slots are a $1 minium, obviously, as an example), yet any schlub can take a seat at the race book, with the beautiful little screen and luxury of a Tiny Tim, get free drinks all day, and bet next to nothing! Imagine doing that at a blackjack table. I told the host there that given the lack of seating they should have a minimum, that you have to buy, say, a $250 Tiny Tim account to get a seat, and then you can sit there all day, no problem. She looked at me like she had no idea what the hell I was talking about, a look I'm familiar with, being an abused horseplayer for 20 years.

At Delaware Park, they charge $3 for a simo seat and you would be amazed how many people refuse to pay that and just stand all around the outskirts.

I have been to every race book in atlantic city, and I agree
Bally's is the best. It's larger and more open. IN FACT IN THE HORSEPLAYER MAGAZINE, THEY GRADED THE A/C RACE BOOKS THIS MTH AND BALLY'S WAS BEST. I was in borgata last week, but went late at nite, and didn't see the book. I will
visit borgata for race bets in the future, cause I like the fact that
the book treats the race players like slot and table game players, with some customer courtesy and respect with free drinks.
Many books in a/c dont offer FREE drinks to race track players.
Speaking of the borgata, The slots are new and spit out vouchers
Instead of cashing all your coins if when 1 hits :rolleyes: You
can just hit the voucher, and then go collect. BTW, I dont play slots but my group was. I went last saturday nite, the bars were so packed, you had to wait on line to get in......Talk about
crowded, Sometimes It pays to stay HOME :eek:
