Hey all...

Tomorrow at Saratoga, the track's most prestigious handicap, the Whitney, will be run. The track will most likely be off, and I'm thinking off the turf as well, so I didn't 'cap the turfers. Here's my analysis...

1st-PERFECTLY STUNNING ran well in the slop at BEL off a two-month freshening; should improve in her second start off the break. COLOGNY has accumulated both her wins over wet going. Could surprise if she runs to that form. BEHRNIK romped in the mud in his first start off a long layoff and is eligible to improve; rounds out the triple.

2nd-SILICON CITY wowed clockers in a 7/19 move over the slop at BEL; can beat these with that effort. AMERICAN QUEST also has an excellent slop work to his credit. Ships up from Churchill and is a major player. ARTURO has perhaps the best "mud blood" in the field (related to A.P. Indy, Seattle Slew, and Forty Niner) and will pose a threat.

3rd-TURFER.

4th-POLLARD'S VISION has great "mud blood" (Carson City, by Mr. Prospector). Could surprise as Pletcher sends out a pair. TYNAN worked well on the grass of the training track. He is a major player no matter what the weather. BOLD LOVE is the other half of the Pletcher entry. Ran well in a maiden race in the mud and should improve.

5th-AUTO CITY once ran three straight on wet going. Wasn't a problem then, shouldn't be a problem now. WILD MAPLE came from 11 back to just miss in a Belmont sprint over the slop; should run back to that effort. ADMIRALITY ARCH just missed in a 6F dash over the mud at Monmouth; should be a factor in the early pace.

6th-DOCTOR JALILI absolutely soared off in his return from a layoff. Earned a 103 Beyer there, and an 80 or so will probably win this one. ARTISTIC AWARENESS missed by a neck in mud try on the inner at AQU after setting grueling fractions; completes exacta. SWAY OF PASSION ran big in the slop back in May, when he won a sprint by 7; a shot to hit the board.

7th-WAY TO THE TOP (BEST BET) should love the reduced distance here, and he's contended over the slop before in a very, VERY fast race; the pick. WHYWHYWHY is coming off a four-month layoff, but loves wet going and is flat-out scary on his best day. QUEST ran third in a route test over the slop eight days ago and should also like the reduced distance.

8th-POSSE outdueled Midas Eyes in a great stretch duel on the Belmont undercard and loves the slop; the pick in the GII Amsterdam. SUPER FUSE romped in the Huntington back in November and has great early speed; might win by daylight if he can get loose. FIRST BLUSH was a game third in an allowance prep for this. Is a GIII winner, and should put in a good effort here.

9th-EVENING ATTIRE is a .666 hitter over wet going and put up a 110 Beyer in an allowance prep; the winner of the Whitney. VOLPONI never fails to hit the board, no matter what circumstances might arise. Was a good second in the Brooklyn in the slop, and that effort will boost him over the three-million-dollar-mark in earnings. PROUD CITIZEN has blazing early speed. Has run well in the slop before, giving him a shot here. MEDAGLIA D'ORO hasn't been out of the barn in 4 months, and if PC gets to the lead, his chances are drastically reduced.

10th-TURFER.

Good luck everyone!
