Name the last time a horse was dq'd from finishing position due to
the dislodging of a saddle weight which fell on the track during a race?

UptownCharleyBrown now holds this title, dq'd from 5th to last in the Belmont.

Doubt this ever happened in the Belmont, nor will it again occur.

that's not right, there are lots of tracks that go official before all horses way in. a couple years ago, gulfstream would go official right after the final horse had pulled up and started heading back.

plus almost every track you see the official sign go up as the winner is going into the winners circle, the rider certainly hasn't been weighed yet at that point.

speak to a guy named brolio baeza, clerk of scales at nyra. ask him what the spitzer crew did to his reputation and career over incidents regarding "carrying assigned weight".
