in 1:48.2 :eek: . Fastest Qua in history, the fractions were
26.3 54.2 1:22.1 1:48.2 winning by 17 with Brennan.

quick story. started training harness at saratoga back in the day. always did well with the crippled, low quality stock on circuits like that. billy o'donnell and i were friendly. on that circuit, you'd race them into shape, try to keep them sound, and race them where they belonged. they got a lot of paddock and days off between races and raced every 7 days. no big mystery.

billy o went to the meadowlands and i followed shortly after. first thing he said to me about the difference between a place like saratoga and the big m was now "you're in indianappolis"!!

if they're too sore to train...they 're no good here. they need speed,speed speed. no paddock and days off like saratoga. grind, train,grind, train. at the big m, you go or you go home.
