How's this:

$2.00 Min Win Bets only No place or show.
$1.00 Superfecta's
.10 Min Superfecta's
$1.00 Pick Six
.50 Exacta's, Trifecta's, Daily Doubles, PK 3'S, PK 4'S. Super High 5's.

It would generate more revenue. Something has to be done to draw the people away from Indian Casinos.

The Race Tracks should wise up. People can still bet more than the minimums if they choose. It would draw the small bettors in with the hope of making money.

Chuchill and Pimlico blow it every year by not offering .10 supers. Just think of the extra money that would go into those pools if people thought they could win 10 grand on some of those $100,000 dollar supers.

Why do you think the Indian Casino's have penny slot machines?. Why do you think they have club cards with different levels? It draws people in, I can get free hotel rooms for a night and get comped at the buffets.

I don't have to pay for admission or parking. Half my betting money goes to the casinos now.

In the last 4 months I have gotten lucky. Put $20.00 in a penny slot machine and walked away with over a $1,000 4 times. Am I playing a penny, no, a 50 line machine with a choice of playing 1,2,3,5,10 on a spin

How much are beers at a race track $7.50 for a Dixie Cup. $5.00 for a plain Hot Dog. $3.00 for a cup of coffee and a roll.

$6.00 for a Racing Form. $2.50 for a program. $4.00 for admission $5.00 for parking. By the time you get in and eat you are down $40-$50 bucks before you even make a bet.

That's why we stay home and play over the internet. Race tracks should wise up.

Why no place or show bets?
Casinos make money from gambling, not food or parking.
Racing THINKS it has a captive, addicted clientele. They do not do surveys either of the GP or its own customers, so they are clueless about what works and does not work,
Tracks restaurants are not 24 hourse, but they are open during peak hours. They need to be fast food franchises, not boutiques.
Merchandise- on the NTRA/store webpage you can buy a "Go Baby Go" cap for $15.00, similar collared shirt for $35.00. Nobady outside racing knows what "Go Baby Go: is, and many inside racing have forgotten! What a way to advertise racing!!LOL!!

It never ceases to amaze me when people complain about food prices at the track. Every track I've been to, which is at least 13 at this point, has allowed people to bring in their own food and drink. I begin to wonder if those complaining have ever really spent time at a track or are just repeating third hand complaints from others who have hardly spent any time at the track.

Actually, I think $3 for a coffe and roll is not that bad. And I suppose you are allowed to bring in your own shirt and cap!LOL!! Fun thread!

You need visit the track here in Lincoln, Ne. They used to, but not any more. They claim it is liability thing and I am not sure it is not. I am sure that no place that serves alcohol would allow anyone to bring it in. That is illegal about everywhere.

Churchill has 10 cent supers on all days with the exception of Oaks and Derby Days.
