BRIS PPs

OK. I'll bite! The 1st race at Saratoga on Wednesday is a steeplechase race. I use the BRIS PP Generator. Where does BRIS (or their supplier DRF or Equibase) get the winner's final times for some of the past races listed in their PPs? Like 3:88-04; 3:61-02; 3:90-20; 3:89; 3:77-80; 3:82-40; 3:84; 3:61-80; 3:75-60?

Does time number one listed above (3:88-04) equate to 4:28-04?

Their web software doesn't do a good job of handling data outside of the expected range (specifically charts). If the same guy is writing their software to build pp's, this isn't hard to believe. I would call them for an explanation. It probably is a fixed conversion factor as you suggest, but maybe not. :rolleyes:

BRIS seems to have a hard time with steeplechase races .. sometimes even listing the wrong distance for "today's" race!! and they also seem to have trouble with horses going out first time in the U.S. .. can't tell you how many times I've seen them put the wrong PPs on a horse going first out in America.

Okay .. and here I go again .. Saratoga for Thursday was drawn Monday .. why no PPs yet??? They have the Instant Entries for the 31st up .. but that's it .. PPs for Los Al are up for the 31st .. anyone insterested in Los Al??!! Heck, BRIS even had the final for Wednesday up early .. Monday, instead of the normal Tuesday afternoon.

Sorry .. but this delay and the lack of off-the-turf symbols is really bugging me.
