Thanks for the link. It made for some very interesting reading of the various RPM handicapping products for sale, and the many alleged plus ROI'S I could make. I wonder if I should buy one of the products listed in their online catalogue to try out, and see if I can get richer!... :)

How could you not become an RPM follower with legendary 'cappers like Clint Tracy, Tom Console, Len CZ, Dave Powers, Charles Blaskower ... er, wait--they're all the same person!!!!:lol:

Tom Console is a different person. I have met him several times. Used to live in Reno.

The others may be schizophrenic. I don't know.

How's that saying go? "I may be schizophrenic but I have each other."

They are all separate people, except for maybe Tracy and Powers. Just making light of the post.

Blast from the past. I used to enjoy their mailings about their numerous systems. They made me laugh. Their author names used to sound like porn stars. The more things change the more...

Yeah, I used to get a kick out of them myself....In fact, I used to save them as memorabilia of a sort, but after awhile I didn't have any practical place to store them any longer, as there were just got to be too many of them, and then I just tossed em.....haha...

I had to laugh when in one of their mailings was a supposed photo of Mr. Console. It turned out to be a stock file photo from some modeling agency.

Don't know about the Powers having another name and don't care.Have several of their computer software programs. One by Len CZ, was able to get a $1.00 exacta that paid $471.50. Useing the same system last Saturday. By dutching 2 horses. Got the $35.40 at the first race at Monmouth. And, a $16.20 one at the 8th race at Belmont. It also picked a $3.00 winner. Of the 12 horses it picked, 2 in each race. It had 3 winners, 4 placed, 2 showed and 2 out of the money. It averages about 75% in the money the 3 times I've used it. Always at least 1 double digit winner each day.
Not saying that they have the best software. But, I have been happy with some that I have. Some work better than others. Some, I don't use as much.

jewl14 is that " The Zarn method " a friend has it and likes it.

Anybody know who Zarn is ???

:) :) :)

Do have the Zarn method. It's named from someone from Australia. Haven't used that one as much. It's frustrating when having 2 different picks. Playing one and the other wins. It is made of 2 different methods. The overlays and the standard Zarn plays. But, my 2 favorites are the X-Minus 1 and Super -X. THe X-Minus 1 also has 2 different programs. The x-Minus 1 and Cashin. That is also frustrating at times for the same reason as the Zarn effect.

Hi Jwel

Could you please clarify for me - is Super-X "the same system" you used last Saturday. that "averages about 75% in the money the 3 times I've used it."
Thanks for your reply.

It was the system I used. It was also the one where I got the 1 dollar $471.50 exacta i used that day a little over a year ago. But, that one, I used the pen and paper one. Saturday was the software version. But, the 471.50 exacta, i boxed 3 horses, not 2. And, i didn't require a gap between them and the others. I played the exactas during my Grand slam. Ended up playing 3. Got the first one for $21.50. missed the second and got the BIG one in the last exacta. So, that day, I fudged a little. But, it picked the horses in the top 3. Saturday, I played the ones even if it gave it no confidence points and dutched. Even if one wasn't the favorite. The "systems" are just a starting point. BY boxing the top 3, a person would have gotten the $74.50 exacta in the 2nd race at Belmont that day.

Will add that Saturday, I did require for the top 2 horses to have the gap in points. The software says Super x by both horses Then, gives it confidence points.

Wow! Sparkling reviews fro jwel and Stablemate!! I can't remember the particulars, but my experience with Super X was the exact opposite. The results were right up there with the rest of the RPM rubbish.

Which goes to show that no one can recommend anything for someone else. What has worked for someone, doesn't mean it will work for another. Everyone puts their own nitch into it. That big exacta I got. Was just lucky that I picked 3 of the races during my grandslam that day. Could have picked a different track, races or not played them at all. Also, notice that some people expect too much. It has to win 8 out of 10 times. They want the Holy Grail. A mechanical do nothing.

Or a broken clock is correct twice a day, and a even a blind squirrel finds acorns once in a while. Do a workout posting on a prospective basis (before the race) and then see what you have to talk about. Get real.

It doesn't bother me if a person likes something or not. As, I said before. The 3 times I have used the software. It has with the 2 horses in the race where it said Super-x. Had 75% of them come in the money. Now, if a person has issues with something. Then, go ahead. Will some days be better than others? Of, course. All I care about is does it show a profit over time. And, the 4 times I have used it. Once, the pen and paper method, and 3 times the software. It has. I could never have picked 3 horses where I could have gotten an exacta payoff that big. (Without guesssing). No, I do not work for RPM. Just that I have found that at least some of their software is about as good as some others I've tried.

Three times certainly beats the broken clock (at two). How about posting the picks before the races are run? Data always helps enthusiatic endorsements--a little sunshine on the RPM methodolgies.

Sorry, that wasn't a "sparkling review" from me! I was just thanking him for his explanation. I got poor results from it myself!
