I just played the 4 in the 2nd race at Hastings. He finished in a dead heat with the 6. The 4 was 9-1 and the 6 was 4-5. Payoff to win 4=6.50 6=2.50. Where is the rest of the payoff? Way after the race was over the odds now show the 4 was 5-2. Are they running their computers on windows 3.1? Something stinks and it will be a long time before I play this dump again.

Have you reviewed the final pool and calculated what it should have paid?

No. To be honest I don't know how to do that. I just rechecked the odds and they are still showing 9-1. The 4 in the 3rd was 5-2. pools between the 4 and 6 were 979 and 5313 respectively

Conditional wagering !?! could be the answer .

The pool is calculated exactly like a place pool in the event of a dead heat to win, and the prices look about right to me. If you provide me with the takeout percentage for WPS wagering at the track in question (15%?), I'll gladly show the calculation on here for you.

It's your fault.

Dead heats for the win position happen an inordinately amount of times at Hastings.

I'd lay off of Hastings, too.

I realize now it is from the dead heat. I was not happy but at least I still won.

2003 Breeder's Cup

The John Deere Turf
Purse: $2,000,000 Distance: 1 1/2 miles turf
Pgm Horse Jockey Win Place Show
3dh High Chaparral Kinane 6.40 6.20 3.80
9dh Johar Solis 13.60 9.00 5.40
8 Falbrav Holland 4.20

I had a nice chunk of change on Johar......the first Dead Heat in Breeder's Cup history cuts the price from 21 bucks if my memory serves me to 13.60....

I was pissed.........
