Here are some pictures from the Arkansas Derby day this year, and some from Breeders Cup '09. Got some great up close of Zenyatta right after the race. Check out the dapples on her. This was at the paddock and she was still breathing fire like she could go again. Absolutely the best looking horse I have ever seen. Midnight Lute from the year before was amazing as well, but Zenyatta not only looks good but has the attitude. :)

And my favorite. Mike Smith road her back to the middle of the grandstand for all to watch her. My buddy that was with me took the picture right as she was over my shoulder.

resize them........ down a little would work much better

Good shots and I complement you for not chopping off heads of horses, etc. I like shooting pics and it takes trial and error. What camera/lens are you using for the close ups?? Thanks.

Very nice to meet you, Winter Triangle, CJ his dad and wife, Discogirl and everyone else from this forum at Oaklawn that weekend. Great time.

You can download your pics to picasa or a similar site, edit and provide links for people to follow. For example:

Smarty, they're great shots. The sun was brighter at Santa Anita. Those are especially nice. Your photos, like mine, and like BetToWin's were taken later in the day at Oaklawn. Still, BTW's were outstanding! I loved his shots the first time I viewed them. Also, he's tall, really tall. And it was easy for him to get good shots.

Forget it; in the 5th photo you can see she is wearing a wedding ring! LOL Great pix!

The 1st photo of Zenyatta (3rd one down) is absolutely awesome, she looks so ready to run that day.
