Has anyone tried Pizzolla's latest effort in Handicapping Software called "The Sharper Handicapper"??
Let me know

What's the difference? He seems to come out with a new program or 'major upgrade' every year or so. It's the old Sartin shell game as far as I'm concerned.

Rune:
I asked if anyone has used the program, I didn't ask for anyone's opinion that had not used the program.

The Sharper Handicapper isn't Michael's latest effort...it predates Handicapping Magic by a year or more.
It really was designed for the player who doesn't want to do much handicapping...for the price of the normal past performance file, you can run it thru TSH and get form, class, and pace ratings along with a betting line.
If you were a beginner or an absolute moron who likes to do things like bet grey horses "just because", TSH would certainly be better than nothing...it does make some interesting calls once in awhile. If you really like to handicap and have aspirations of regular profits, I strongly feel that ITS carries much better products which would serve you better.

Mh1...In my recent trials, TSH, in non-mdn & non-mdn-clmg. races, inclusive of all other type races and distances, the winner is found in the top 3 TSH form numbers 29% to 50% of the time across a variety of venues.

This is the first time that I've heard Mike P's name even remotely connected to The Shaper Handicapper. It's not a early version of anything by Pizzolla as far as I know. TSH ,The Expert Handicapper, and The Daily Handicapper are by I.T.S publishers. I'm pretty sure that Eric Langjhar does the programing for Its and Pizzolla.
If you are going to use TSH the other programs by Its and Handicapping Magic by Pizzolla use the same down load file so you one file fits all.
I've tried them all but I use The Master Handicapper as my weapon of choice(Pizzolla and Langjhar). TSH gives you not just a rating but how to bet the race. Prime Place bet,bet the high ranked horse etc. I didn't give it a fair chance because it doesn't fit my method of play.
If you are using a program that gives a odds line or if you have kind of and idea what odds you will take on a horse you might want to check out "Betting Techniques and Portfolio Management at the Racetrack" at Its.Com I am sure it was written by Eric Langjhar. I'll post more under Handicapping Library.

Can't find the promised post under Handicapping Library. So "Betting Techniques and Portfolio Management at the Racetrack" was written by Langjahr? Bought it last year, read it and then forgot all about it. Re-read it again a few days ago and found that I've been re-inventing the wheel. Rather pricey for such a brief report but good advice.
