$1000.00 Preakness Contest

Hey Guys,

I'll be hosting a live webcast Saturday for the Preakness Day racing. I have a $1000.00 handicapping contest also. Plenty of time to get signed up at Ultimate Selector.com (http://ultimateselector.com/bulboard/viewforum.php?f=120)

It's W-P-S and first place pays $400. All the info is on the link. Between races I play great music and just fool around.

The deposit is required by the sporstbook that is putting up the money. They want something back for their support I guess. By sponsoring a contest like this, they are trying to gain new customers. And players can wager with their deposit. That has nothing to do with our contest.

We are just trying to get as much money for players as possible. We don't control the sportsbooks.

We have a Handiman Beat Down contest that extends to Labor Day for players who accumulate beat down points by beating me in Thursday and Sunday contests. There is no cost for that and the prize pool is $500 cash. The 4 players with the most points and a wild card player will play me for the money over 2 days on Labor Day weekend.

This is first I have ever heard of anyone ever having any problem that you have stated. We have many members that have been there from the very beginning & NOT one has ever has encountered this problem. This is also after 90,000 page hits on the site. This issue of yours could have been from anywhere or anything that you previously did or visited.

Here we go again I guess. I have been a loyal member here for over 5 years. I plan on remaining a member here as long as the site remains live.

Most everyone belongs to several gambling forums. Over at Ultimate we do a live web cast 5 nights a week. Almost everyone of them is free. We have a chip in contest once in a while. No one else does this as far as I know.

During our shows we promote other sites as well. We mention Pace Advantage and other sites also. We are just trying to add more to the horse racing community...not take away from anyone.

Whether you know me or not, I have done a lot of free work for members here. There are over 20 players using a free program I helped develop on this site.

So bash us if you want. Nothing I can do about that. I do appreciate PA allowing me to promote my live web casts here. I even asked him if he would like to make them available here. But he isn't interested, so I understand and am fine with it.

We have a great time and between races we play music and kid with each other and have fun. That's all....we don't have some underground scary agenda.

I'd love to have you join me and play...but if it is too scary for you or you just don't like playing live with other people then fine. I host Pen Nat tonight and invite you to come and play.

He knows what he wrote on his site about a year or so ago...right after I flagged his account to not allow him to post in the selections anymore.

I did not know you would ban some one for posting losing picks as well as I posted winning ones too. All you did was single me out cuz I had the balls to post my results everyday. Now if all posters were to be required to do that then you may have an empty forum if you were to treat them all the same way you did me. That's all I'm saying. I don't want to re hash old water under the bridge. I just dissagreed with your handling of the situation!

I wish no Ill will ... I would & do handle posters a bit differently & not so Harsh!
It makes for a better atmosphere & more enjoyable place to do what we all like to do with some FUN!

Plus that was then This is Now! ... I have moved past this & in part this is exactly why I decided to set up & develop my own site, because of the situations like what we are re-hashing now!

Things like Clicky groups, too political, too much censorship, or treating members indifferently for doing what they have a passion for.

We just want all Community & Horse players alike just to enjoy what they like to do! We try our very best to accomadate them just for that.

It sounds like PA was actually doing Ultimate Selector a favor by banning him from doing picks, in that he was losing whatever credibility he had for his website. But while PA might have been shielding his members, but who in their right mind would play a horse because this guy posted it in the Selections forum anyway?

I had some problems when I tried to use your site several months ago for a Delta Downs contest.

1. The site did not work properly with Internet Explorer? There were instructions to use Firefox which I had no intention of loading on my PC. One web browser is all I care to use.

2. I also had spyware and virus issues after using the site.

These are the reasons I have not tried the site again. Just wanted to give you some feedback.

I really don't know where this is coming from that your getting spyware & viruses. I am on the site almost all day long everyday & I should be the first to know if there is anything like that going on. These are the only two reports I have ever heard from anyone about this. I don't do any advertising & I don't have anything that you download on my site. So with that being said please give me more details. What did you specifically do to have this happen & what was the virus or spyware name? What Forum were you in & what did you click on in this forum to cause this? It is my sincerest intention to rectify any such problems. It is our only desire to provide a safe & fun atmosphere for all, no matter who someone is or where they come from.
We want to add to the horse racing community in a positive manner and not allow anything to get in the way!

It was a few months ago. You were doing a Delta Downs Contest that I wanted to play.

At that time the site did not work correctly with Internet Explorer for some reason. There was a post saying that you had to use Firefox which I did not want to do.

I did have virus and spyware issues after trying to use the site but I don't remember the exact specifics. I can't look them up on my antivirus program either because they gave me a free upgrade to the latest version of their software a few days ago and the history from the previous version was gone.
I really can't say for sure that the problem came from your site but I only go on a few web sites regularly and have never had issues with them.

I am willing to try your site again but only if it now works correctly with Internet Explorer. Has the problem with IE been fixed?

The only problem that I have with IE is that there are one or two colors that are different in the titles & whatnot from what I have on Fire Fox.

The other only issue that I know of is when you go to make a post you will just need to scroll to the right a bit to get to the post/reply box.
This is because IE loads my smilies horizontally rather than vertically like Fire Fox does. So the smiliy box expands to the right a bit.

It has always worked that way so you could always use it but I found it to be a bit of a nuisance. That's why I alerted everybody to just use Fire Fox. The coding is just different & I have yet to figure it out!

I believe that all or most of Ultimate Slector's members are already members of Paceadvantage.

As far as spyware & the computer virus, I got them through the signing up process. I don't recall what they were as I had to reinstall my operating system & lost everything.

I'm sorry to hear that. You are the only person that I know of who had any problems becoming a member.

As for playing the contest here, I'm all for it. I know I'm getting a late start, but I'm game. I will start tomorrow.

Tomorrow I host a live webcast where we will be playing Mountaineer. We have $50 provided by BetJamaica.com everyday now...Wed thru Sunday as the daily prize. Usual active account is needed at BJ com. Deposit required is $25, but we match that $25, so it turns into $50 right away. We are only doing the match til end of May though.

During the show I will promote the contest here. I will see if I can stir any interest in getting guys to join and play. But a lot of players are in fact members here already. But I will be happy to promote the contest.
