My dad wants to bet the pick 3. I think i heard that coverage starts at 4pm. Do you think they will show race 9 and 10 also? Hoping he can watch those races from home.

If memory serves, I don't think NBC shows any undercard races. The undercard coverage usually ends with the change over from ESPN to NBC..

Yes, they will show some of the under card races on NBC. They always have.

ESPN has coverage of up to the 9th race. The 10th is run at 4:46 during NBC's coverage, and isn't broadcast..

The post time for the Woodford Reserve is 4:46 p.m. which is during NBC's timeslot. If I recall correctly they did not show the race last year.

But NBC will cover the Pink Parade, the Fashion Show, every frigging hat on the grounds, two cooks, a bartender, Barbaro and 8 Belles video with investigative professionalism, 43 commercials, Stephanie Abrams talking about boots instead of heels today. Al Roker will ride Ice Box.

Comments from NBC producer Sam Flood:
FLOOD ON THE BROAD AUDIENCE THAT WATCHES THE DERBY: "The Derby is it's much more than a horse race. It's the biggest event to kickoff spring and we are going to capture all of the elements to make this such a special day that draws 150 plus thousand people to this racetrack and millions more to the television. It was interesting for me to learn that the Derby is one of only three major sporting events that draws more female viewers than men. The Winter Olympics and Summer Olympics are the other two. So we're making sure we cater to a broader audience."

Since that's probably the best you could do on short notice...we shall endure. Barely.

Delayed, probably.

Between Zoe Cadman and that miserable excuse of a track announcer a CD, I'm watching Dinner Impossible on Food TV. Nothing kills the thrill of the Derby like TV coverage. Already lost all interest in the damn card and derby.

90 minutes between races??????

What, they aren't drunk enough in the infield? This is ridiculous.
Strictly bush league by CD...Now I have officially lost all interest in this stupid race.

Shoelaces? Thought most NASCAR fans wore flip flops or went barefoot.
