Let's see if we can turn an ROI profit tonight.

Race 1: #2 Windsong Fortune was claimed by the highly astute Kent Sherman two back at Pocono and imported to The Meadows. He immediately responded with a career effort and now adds lasix against similar company but with slightly diminished capability compared to the field he faced two weeks ago. #2 Windsong Fortune to win.

Race 2. #8 A Shoe In is a regally-bred 3-yr. old SJ's Caviar who has been literally leaving veteran clockers astonished in morning workouts. There is apparently nothing in here that can trot with him, but we have two major problems: (1) He may not have found his gait perfectly just yet and is therefore a threat to break and (2) We have the question of intent as many trainers may want more of a test drive at first asking. However, the odds should compensate for the unknowns. #8 A Shoe In to win.

Race 4. #4 Skeeter Bug returned to the races in last in fine form to score a victory. Remains in the same class and assuming that a tightner should make him even a bit better, there seems to be little in here that can stop him from a repeat win. #4 Skeeter Bug to win.

Race 5. #4 Bombastic is the first 3 year old of quality to emerge this season at The Meadows. Was heavily-backed by insiders with knowledge of his talent in his first-out romp. Returns in the same class and apparently lays over the competition. #4 Bombastic to win.

Race 6. Interesting event in which we have four horses who are clearly capable of winning this heat. Let's take a shot and box them in the trifecta.
Trifecta Box: 2,5,6,7. $48 investment for the $2 tri box.

Race 7. #4 Video Express is a very consistent performer at the level. However, there are some interesting developments in the class that may make him vulnerable. #1 Timely Topic is first off the claim for Bendis and may appreciate the change in scenery. #3 Keystone Swinger returns after a claim to his most successful connections. And #2 C B K Hanover is a blisteringly fast animal who is always a threat off the proper trip. The correct way to approach this is to conceed that Video Express will be on the trifecta ticket somewhere, but where? This calls for a creative play in the tri.
Trifecta plays: 4/1237/1237. 123/4/1237. 123/123/4. Total 27 punches for a $54 $2 wager.

Race 13. #9 Money Man K makes his second start of his 3-yr. old campaign off a promising start in his first effort. Despite the outside post, this colt has shown early speed in the past and should use it here to get good position. Price should be right for an excellent chance to handle a weakish bunch. #9 Money Man K to win.

That's it. GLA.

Race 4. Skeeter Bug won and paid $3.20

Race 5. Bombastic won and paid $2.40

Race 6. The tri box came in 7-6-2 and paid $138.40

Rce 7. Bad luck as Video Express hit a wheel and broke while the apparent winner. Out.
