I received a request for an old tip sheet from 40's or 50's.

Apparently someone is putting on Guys and Dolls and is looking for memorabilia.

Does anyone have any ideas where they might locate a copy of such a thing?

There's a guy on Antique Road Show (PBS) that seems to get all of the posters and other collectables like that. Sorry, don't recall his name right off. But, if you could some how get to him, he could give you some help.

Update: try http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/roadshow/appraisers/index.html then View by Specialty. The one guy I am thinking of is Nick Lowry. You might find others in the same or other diciplines you might be able to contact.

Dave, I would bet that these haven't changed much for years, and how many people would know what they looked like back in the 30's? I would guess a modern tip sheet would do just fine. All the ones I remember seeing scattered around on the track looked very basic and on cheap paper. Someone must have one tucked away somewhere.

The statement following is true. The statement prior is false.

I thought the same thing.

It might all be for not anyway. She was going to email me and never did, so even if I find something I have no way to share it with her.

I imagine anything printed on paper with ink in proper size would do. I don't think they'd really want a 70 year old tip sheet from someone's collection - the think might look 70 years old, but the person in the play needs to have it look like they just bought it new that afternoon. Needs to be white not yellowed.

If she prints this out, it should do well! If she has some green paper, even better.
