7th paragraph down

"Profesional horseplayers usually have a set "goal" for the day, and when they attain that goal, they call it a day and leave the track"

Where have I heard this before

I would say that doesn't really apply to the guy sitting at home with the ability to bet on multiple tracks and with exotics on every race. Probably good for playing one track per day with one daily double and nothing else, as it was when he wrote that.

Yah,

Things have really changed alot for the handicapper.

I remember the first time I played 2 tracks - what a rush.

Now I play as many as I can - or at least handicap as many as I can.

:)

I don't see how that goal and professional handicapper are related. For me, racing dictates how much I may make - I don't do the dictating.
