Florida GOP loyalty oath

The Florida GOP is requiring it's members to take an oath of loyalty saying they will not support independent candidate Crist.

If the Connecticut GOP would have required this after the former Connecticut Democratic Senator Joe Lieberman became an independent then Lieberman might not have been elected.

The Dem candidate who won the primary over Lieberman might have won the election because Repubs would have been in violation of the oath.

Will be interesting to see if this trend continues.

Why is the Florida GOP so against Crist and why did Crist leave the party?

How about pledge that if the party allows you to use its credit card, you would not use on personal expenses. What a choice the conservatives have in Florida. Crist or the biggest spender of someone else's money that ever dared to call himself a conservative. This is a lose-lose situation for the Florida GOP. Unfortunately the democratic has no chance against either of them. JMO
