Troops still in Iraq and Afghanistan
\
USA drone attacks in Pakistan and Afghanistan killing innocent civilians

American troops dying

Unemployment hovering at 10%

America in serious debt to the Chinese

Iran continues to develop nuclear weapons

Israel abandoned as an ally

But the "positives" are that we have in the White House a guy who;

*plays basketball
*throws like a girl
*can't give a speech without a teleprompter
*bows to foreign dignitaries
*brings into the WH a well known band every week for entertainment
*dominates the airwaves at every opportunity (Super Bowl - Final Four)
*Lets his "brother" live at a level below poverty in Africa
*is an egocentric
*has never proven his birthright
*is a Socialist/Marxist
*has no friends other than whack jobs such as Bill Ayers
*has surrounded himself with crooks (Gheitner, etc..)

You get the point I hope !! My God, how did this happen ????

Every schoolboy knows those are all Goerge Bush's fault.:bang:

A timely joke of course. And to me, also true in the 'reason vs fault' sort of way. To enough people, it as pretty much the often well-manipulated public opinion of George W Bush that convinced enough people that they so much wanted someone/something/some party completely different that, even though GWB wasn't running, they chose the other party's canidate instead, and believed all the unbelievable and undeliverable promises, and overlooked all the details in the background of what would have to happen in order to achieve those promises.

Of course, I feel on a lesser basis, that GWB won over Gore when people like myself had had enough of the Bill Clinton era that they were no longer going to vote independet and let Clinton's similarly allied Democrat & Gore win again like in 1992 & 1996.

Where's the outrage, CJ's Dad? Have you read many posts here in Off Topic?
I'm sure I saw one here two weeks ago that took Obama to task.

As for how it happened, look no further than Republican leadership pre-Obama.

I should have been more direct !!

What I meant to imply is that in the MSM, there are no nightly reports regarding the "price at the pumps", death tolls on 2 battle fronts, job loss,
national debt etc.....

BO and his ilk are keeping a close eye however, on things like salt in our diet !!

I dont know if you talk to many democrats in your real life, but i know from talking to many here in Portland they are really pissed about the troops still being over there. Many are pissed he didn't push for single payer. most libs think he's governing as more of a moderate than a true liberal (granted he does spend like one)

thats why they think it's so comical when the right portray him as this super leftist guy, because they dont see it that way. they are pissed. But they would still vote for him in 2012 because they would never vote for a con.

Define a con.

anyone with an R next to their name on the ballot. generally they are considered to be conservatives, and even if they are not cons by definition, the left will view them as such

I heard he was on American Idol last night....absurdon tape, just like George W. Bush and Laura were a couple of years ago...the last time Idol did their charity "Idol Gives Back" two hour special...

It's not absurd at all...Bill and Melinda Gates were also on the program...UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon also made an appearance....
