fired by Geico (http://biggovernment.com/mkibbe/2010/04/21/geico-cancels-a-hater/#more-109902)for leaving hateful messages at Freedom Works, who is one of the Tea Party sponsor organization. I'm sure he'll be picked up by Daily Kos or MSNBC. He seems to be right in their mold of incendiary hateful talkers. as Karl Rove said, "this is what is known as liberal intelligentsia these days"

So when the voice-over guy for Geico Insurance, D.C. Douglas, called and left us another hostile message, and left his phone number (http://biggovernment.com/mkibbe/2010/04/14/is-the-geico-gecko-a-tea-party-crasher-too/#idc-cover), we held him accountable too, posting his message where he calls all of us “mentally retarded,” and potential killers. Geico canceled his contract (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/right-now/2010/04/geico_voice_actor_fired_after.html). He now says that we, “like Glenn Beck, are flirting heavily with sedition.” Strange accusation from an actor that talks for a living.” Americans covet our freedom of speech. We have a sacred right, enshrined in the Constitution, to show up, protest and challenge government policies that are bad for America. Freedom: it’s an insurance policy we should all buy.

Awesome story...what an idiot he is. Count to 10 before making stupid phone calls.

He should have waited 15 minutes because it could have saved himself much more than 15% on his car insurance gig.

i don't think its the "gekko" guy who got fired. If you read it it says the voice at the end, which I assume is the one who talks about taking 15 minutes to save 15%.

He's the tag voice over cat, not the voice of the liz. Do you have any idea how much an AFTRA voice-over talent makes for doing national spots? Hundreds of thousands/year. All down the drain as a result of him being a libbed-out sheep.

Dunderhead.

and allow me to save our mod some of his precious time,

what a chilling effect this must have on "freedom of speech" and he didn't even use a public address system in a public space.

How DARE anyone question the "contents" of the 100% PURE teabags!

Cuffs and the lash for that scoundrel.

The "PC gestapo" run wild in this country.

Brown shirts , indeed!

When it comes to excusing this kind of childish action , on either side, by use of a lib/con tag then you know the accuser/excuser is full of crap.

Your confusion has again run amok. He's an employee.

ddog as Geico CEO: - I say he stays

not really hacky, his job performance seemed exemplary - he was fired for outside actions unrelated to his job.

Hell, you could say he was fired for political speech, is that not Brown shirt behavior oh exalted one.

He did not commit this on the job just as the Walmart "free speech" did not commit his action on the job.

Me thinks its' not confusion on this end, but your "box" like rigid course of thought.

Good thing you don't need to connect any dots, hell you can't see any dots.

You have one of two choices; fire him or he stays.

You say he stays. I say you're nuts.

You don't actually live like this in the real world do you? Walking around looking at people shaking your head at how little they get and how much you get.

You must be riot to hang with.

voice over gigs are maybe the greatest job on the planet, the guy is crazy to risk such a good gig just to yell about someone he disagrees with
