This is a mock race. This is for entertainment purposes only. Last 21 years there have been 13 horses that won 2 out of 3. Who do you like? (numbers pulled from a random number generator)

Distance 1 3/8 miles on the dirt.
2nd Chance Stakes.

1. War Emblem
2. Charismatic
3. Smarty Jones
4. Point Given
5. Afleet Alex
6. Funny Cide
7. Hansel
8. Real Quiet
9. Thunder Gulch
10. Sunday Silence
11. Big Brown
12. Tabasco Cat
13. Silver Charm

.... And Silver Charm goes into the outside gate. And they'rrrreeee OFFFF!!!

A very nice start, Victor Espinoza hustles War Emblem up from the rail, followed by Smarty Jones, Silver Charm moves up from the outside post, followed by Funny Cide, Charismatic, and Thunder Gulch. Sunday Silence tucks in nicely to the outside of Tabasco Cat another 2 back to Hansel, Big Brown, and a little further back to the 3 trailers, Afleet Alex, Point Given and Real Quiet. There is only 9 lengths from first to last. The first quarter was reasonable.

As they head to the backstretch War Emblem has the lead by a length and a quarter, Smarty Jones and Silver Charm are a joint second, a little back to Funny Cide, and Point Given. Sunday Silence is still unhurried and Point Given and Afleet Alex are moving as a team from the back of the pack. The half mile was reasonable for War Emblem. Has no pressure up front as of yet.

As they continue along the backstretch, Smarty Jones noses right up next to War Emblem, with Silver Charm a length behind. He is now joined by Charismatic and Funny Cide. A little further back to Sunday Silence who is gradually gaining ground followed by Big Brown, Tabasco Cat, Point Given, Afleet Alex. Real Quiet now making a nice move, followed by Thunder Gulch and Hansel.

They have a half mile to go and Smarty Jones now has seized the lead from War Emblem who is falling back. Silver Charm is trying to quicken but Sunday Silence is moving with ease to the outside. A little further back to Charasmatic and Funny Ci.... Afleet Alex is picking off horses like they are standing still. He is moving in tandem with Point Given as they come to the top of the Stretch.

Silver Charm is up to the neck of Smarty Jones, but here comes Sunday Silence, Real Quiet is making a move though and opening on the inside. Afleet Alex is flying on the outside. Point Given moves through inbetween horses. Futher back to Big Brown, Hansel, and Funny Cide is toiling. The rest are out of it.

As they come to the 8th pole Sunday Silence moves to the lead. The whip is out on Smarty Jones, and Real Quiet. P Val imploring his horse to run, but Afleet Alex and Point Given are coming up to him. There is 1/16th to go. Jeremy Rose is trying to push by Sunday Silence but he is all heart today. Point Given is flying inbetween horses and Real Quiet on the rail. Gary Stevens is trying to catch them. Here comes the wire. Its going to be desperately close. And the winner is....

4. Point Given
5. Afleet Alex
10. Sunday Silence
8. Real Quiet

Who do you think would win this dream race? (obviously i have a lot of free time on my hands)

Point Given would never lose the Belmont. Favorite in the other 2, so he is my pick.
