Favorite wins 50 to 60 % of the time up there. Top 2 favorite is more in the range of 70 to 80%! Thats based on last years figures... maybe Ray can elaborate?

I love the location though.........I haven't been there in a couple of years

but it was nicely kept......very sparse crowd. decent bar and snacks

Vernon is a 7/8ths track that plays fair and with honest racing; post position plays the same as at Woodbine/Mohawk. It's one of the few tracks that can draw a decent amount of people for racing, but the handle tells that the crowd is all novices, which means that you can find a good price; but, you can't hit it too hard. Average handle for a ten race card is $110,000 to $120,000. I've caught quite a few good prices there in the past due to the majority of the pool being square money.
