Sometime ago, there was a link to a "bookmark checker". It would, in the background, try all your bookmarks to see if they were still good sites, & list the bad ones. Tried searching this forum & can't find it. Anyone remember?

If your using IE?
You may configure the browser to check and updates Bookmarks on its own.

Bookmark Wizard is a tool that does what your interested in:

Xenu is quite a tool and would first require you to export your bookmarks as HTML (there are simple tools that do this) and save the exported html to your machine, then pointing Xenu at the saved page.

Sorry, I can't be any help.

Haven't used IE as my primary browser in more than six years.
And when I do, I'm still using IE 6.

The only reason I remain aware of this capability is because when my websites were active, I had denials in place which prevented this type of automated activity against my websites.
