Bodog is one of the Best. Had a Hereos Account and they left with all the $$ that is why I split Accts. so I do not loose it all and keep acct. balances low. Be sure to check amt. they charge for withdrawing funds. $40.00 is just too much for a charge to get a check.

The money transfer thing worries me a lot. As long as Obama is president, I am not too worried. But if a Religious Conservative becomes Attorney General, I would get real worried. I think that you would probably get your money but it could get tied up for months if not years. That would be a real drag if you are counting on them as a major source of income. Neteller is an example of what can happen if they decide to shut these things down. Do whatever you want but do not turn a blind's eye to that possibility. That said, I have a Poker stars account, but I don't keep very much money in it. JMO

I've had pretty good luck with Bodog, it just takes some time to get your money if you make a withdrawal.

I havent bet horses with bodog in nearly 2 years....takes too long to get paid.
Used to take a week or two, now takes at least a month.

They are good site, though.
I don't know much about the other Carribean books.

Good luck!

Slightly depends on the definition of 'overseas'.

You have the US-facing online books based in Costa Rica, Antigua, Panama etc etc. They tend to have great sign up offers and decent rebates but the downside is that financial processing is a nightmare for them and that means it will be difficult for you to get money in and out (especially out) of those sportsbooks.

If you bet decent $$$s there is also the consideration that they don't put money into the track pools, so you will get paid out at track odds but you won't have distorted the pools. The downside is that you need to read the small print carefully as sometimes these books will cap the maximum payouts, especially on trifectas and superfectas.

The other issue is that if you consistently win with these books on horses (less so on other sports) they will close your account and the less scrupulous ones may also try and refuse to pay you any bonus money you earned.

Then you have the offshore books that are fully licensed and operate mainly out of Europe. Most of these won't take US customers for legal reasons but if you are Canadian then you are generally fine. They are good in terms of getitng money in and out but the bets will generally be going into the track pools and generally they won't rebate you.

I work for Totebet.com (an approved advertiser on PA) and we are licensed in Isle of Man (part of UK) and we take only US horseracing bets and they go into track pools. We also offer rebates to anyone who bets more than $50 in total per week. We can process financial transactions for US customers in and out and we are legal under US law. We are also small enough to offer a personal service so if you do ever have an issue we are at the end of a phone line. And we employ Americans, so you don't have to talk to Brits (unless you want to!).
