I loathe fields of late late horses on anything but turf yet that is what one has here in the Illinois Derby..The only pace, if one can call the least late a pace horse, comes from the 4 and 5 and they have a chance though small other than the 4 to hold on while the onslaught of 6 2 1 fight it out for the spoils..
I would like to see the 4 get out really far in front and hold on for a spot.
