Does anyone have an opinion on the Bluegrass Cat firster, the 2-Speed Demon?
That's an awfully high stud fee for an unproven freshman sire like BGC, but I guess they figure this one might be worth it with City Zip on the bottom side..this one was bred by B Wayne Hughes? any opinions on this wide-open opener?

While the 1 entry is going to be bet down to an unplayable level, there is little chance I'll play against Wesley Ward in this type of race. My money would be on the 1A

I can't find the stats to back this up, but it seems like every time he's in one of these races he's winning.

Ward entry looks quite formidable here, and quite the bargain on the 1a at Barretts Fall 08 sale for 1.6k. 2k Cali sire Bring the Heat has been known to pop speed firsters to win. But Johnny V listed on both and if he scratches one of them, you might get a good price on some other firsters.

Outside horse Double Down Brown, the 7, has a full sibling who took til 10th start to break maiden. Lone FL homebred in field shows a gatework and a nice breeze at CM? What and where is CM?

Calhoun has the firster by Bluegrass Cat out of a mare who won at 2 in sprints (her first foal is Speed Demon). nice gate works from Sam Houston could make 4-1 seem like a bargain if he can outpop the chalks. He'll be on the inside of Ward firsters. Anyone got stats on Bluegrass Cat as sire of firsters?

1 / 1A Ward/ Velasquez shouts send , to be followed by the 6 Assmussen/Bridgemohan entry

Blugrass Cat has no past runners listed in Brisnet stats.

Don't forget they have 50 cent pick 3 bets now and 50 cent tri's

Well put.
I visited Lexington once; saw the jaw dropping-gorgeous farms, saw Secretariat and Mr. Prospector's graves, petted a Derby winner (Monarchos), saw John Henry and Cigar at the Ky Horse Park (Da Hoss and Affirmed Success too), ate at the Kee track kitchen, walked the beautiful grounds of that track, sat next to John Ward and Ken Ramsey, and loss my rear end at the windows!

Good times.

The 1A sire Bring The Heat is most likely the speed of the speed. But if he gets hammered down like the ML odds suggest..There might be some nice value elsewhere..Have to wait and see.

Keenlands second race looks like their over betting this 4. I'm going with the 2 Despite The odds. He has some excellent class figs in his 4 races before the Indiana Derby. Speightstown runners have 5 wins on the keen polytrack.

There were too few horses for me to play that race, but I would've been on the 2 as well. Glad I passed!

In the 3rd I really like this 1A. I don't really like the favorite(8), and this should be a good betting race.

After 3, speed along the rail is holding nicely.

In keenelands 6th race it looks like this 3 Kantstopdancin should get the lead..If the 4 goes out with her..Then a likely speed duel could occur..Also like the 6 Sheza Sweet Lemon..This Lemon Drop Kid Filly should improve 2nd time out..Bred to run longer then 7 furlongs but a decent price at 5-1. Her last 5 furlong work is an improvement compared to her last 2.

3-6 exacta box

trifecta 3,6/3,4,6,8/3,4,6,8

Gimme Castellano and the :9: in the 9th at Kee-Transylvania Stks.
Lotsa pace even with the scratches--Kee plays to closers--JJ is a top turf rider--he and the :2:horse with Leparoux should run by 'em all.

Not without a shot,imo.
