Has anyone noticed lately the mail advertisements that tout horses? It seems as though they died out a few years ago but wow they have had a revival lately. John Piessen, who handicapped for the racing form, has an advertising campaign that is similar to some of the software ads we've talked about. Like the old touts some of his information will be for the bigger bettors only and of course will cost more. Sam Rothstein, out of Baltimore has mailers for the upcoming Saratoga and Delmar meets. Who was the famous author that said," The more things change the more they remain the same."
