For the Beulah Pick 6 to be won by one individual, I think you'll need two bombs and tops one favorite win on a given day.

wow, so any 6 fractions of 1/(odds+1) when mulitplied together, equallying appox .000016277 will do it.

something along the lines of a 4-1, 3 5-1's a 6-1 and a 2-1
It seems the longer no one hits the pic6, the harder it is to do so.

Great Idea!! love it :)

i'll stick to the win pools

F2002, could you please explain your table (I'm not familiar with your work)? For example, what is the multiplier and N228? Thanks.

the best seems to be that early speed holds on to win.

just two numbers you need to watch, race number and program number.
The other numbers are just model program unumbers.

.it's not harder to hit!! But you may get more value for your money the longer it goes
The longer it goes on, the harder it will be for someone to have a lone ticket, especially with the quarter base, and the small fields we've seen lately.
They attracted over $60,000 in new money today.

One thing to watch out for, don't have the same combo twice. Imagine if you have the only two winning tickets? You only get 40% of the new money put in on racing day after takeout.

*Actually, it's as hard to hit with one ticket on day one as it is on any day >1.
It's just that the pay out could be better on day >1
imagine winning with 6, 5-1 shots on day one compared to hitting with 6, 5-1 shots on day>1, say day 45!!

*however, that "as hard to hit" statment needs some adjustment, since there would be more interest in buying tickets as the pool grows day to day.

Also, there could be players shooting for the consolation prize as the pool grows.
If I calculated yesterday's fair consolation payout correctely it was a hugh overlay.

This is a very interesting proposition bet..
