I could have sworn that a few years ago, Golden Gate was handling upwards of 100k on their exacta and Tri pools almost daily. Now, they are handling 25k. Their pick 4 pool is 27,000 while the Pick 4 pool in So Cal is well over 300k.

Where'd all the money go?

maybe the 5 horse fields have something to do with it?

Their big money days are Saturday and Sunday. Last Sunday, GGF handled $3.2 million for 9 races. That's not chump change. Of course they'd do a whole lot better if it wasn't for all of those short fields.

They've had 5 horse fields since the beginning of time. I don't understand why the public isn't embracing this signal, this is a wonderful place to wager, Russell baze is 3-5 every race, tremendous value if you can beat him and yes, he does lose 65% of all his rides.

5 horse fields not a stranger to any SoCal circuit, including SA...Cali racing has just been unbelievably horrible these past few months..

I think the synthetic tracks have been the downfall of So Cal racing from a betting pool size perspective.
