I agree. That's the obvious question and probable reason why most will eliminate him.

Unfortunately we don't get to interview the trainer. His three races at 6fl are at OP. Has positional speed and he's fresh. The 4 week gap in workouts is more than compensated by the last two works. Been at OP since early January.

I see it as 80% that this is a workout/race. Easy to toss based upon record at distance and track. Logic says non-contender.

But the juicy odds have me willing to donate.
