Now that OBama's Healthcare Bill institutes a 10% tax on Tanning customers starting today..........

I am taking up a collection for a Lawsuit on the premise that it violates the equal protection clause in the Constitution.

This tax is directed at pasty white people only. No persons of color will ever have to pay this tax.

This is racism in its highest form and obvious to anybody with a brain.

Obama is fairly light skinned for a black guy; I wonder if he thinks the tax is aimed at him (that is if he would ever venture to the local Sun Tan City) :cool:

Ralphie has nailed this. It is a common practice to tax people who have no lobbyists to work for them.

About 18 years ago in Nevada the governor needed to raise money. So, he looks around and decides that the guys least likely to be able to fight him were small businesses. Stroke of genius, really.

The form of the tax was $100 per year, per employee.

Of course, the gaming industry got a pass - because the bill considers total payroll and if your payroll is high enough, well, you are exempt from the tax.

In other words, only SMALL businesses are taxed.

We had a Democratic governor who decided to tax toilet paper in the '90's. He wasn't re-elected.

I would be willing to wager that the great majority of dark skinned people do not tan in tanning salons.

I knew someone who owned a tanning salon but has since moved out of the state. She told me once, though, that she had zero black customers or even dark skinned Hispanics for clients. 99.9% of her clients where white in the upscale neighborhood in which she had her business. I know this because I asked her just out of curiosity. So...while people of color may tan, they certainly don't want to pay for it, apparently.
