Is anyone out there using this software and how do you like it. My new laptop has Windows 7 64 bit and was wondering if there would be any problems as most of their
software is 95se 98XP and vista 32 bit :)

Maybe you can post a link as to what you're referring to, as I've never heard of it either? Is it one of the many Bob Pitlak offerings?

It is Pitlak offering.

46...simple?
Well, if you have that particular program yes....if you don't, not so simple.

I've seen it. I know a lot of folks use it. If you're having problems contact Ted, (you should know how if you're using the software) and he will walk you through it.

This is probably what your looking for:
I'm surprised that none of the Sartinistas never heard of it.
It's as good or better then most.

Sartin method modeler won't work on a vista 64 bit machine. It will work on a windows 7 32 vista or lower operating system. I'm currently running some of Bob Pitlak's software on my laptop. It is windows 7 32 vista with no problem.

It will work with a Vista 64 bit machine if you use it with DOSBOX version 0.73.
I run it all the time on my Hewlett Packard Vista 64 laptop. No problema.

I should add that this is an older piece of software that has no way to update the distances that have been added to various tracks since this software came out.. Point in case, Santa Anita, i.e, turf sprints, 7.5F dirt. Therefore you will be limiting yourself to certain distances at various tracks.

See if it will run in DOSBOX. All My old DOS programs work fine including 20 year old 16-bit Soundblaster sound card settings in the .ini.

uhh ..Apparently You can run 'old' handicapping software on MAC, if its written for MS-DOS i guess (!).

Does DOSBOX allow you to print the old programs through a USB printer?
I would love to be able to print out my MPH races again.

Tom,
Dosprin1.78 will let you print to usb by redirecting it from the dated centronics. I told you that in a email and was going to make sure that you set it up but you never got back to me, I figured you got that done.

I got it now...works good.
Thanks...I forgot all about it. I downloaded it when you suggested it and got busy and never got back to it.

The nice thing about dosprin 1.78 is you can select what printer inside the program, I have it setup to print all dos to PDF (another program PDF995)
I prefer PDF because its a real easy format to send in email, additionally yet a third program I love is Foxit. This program lets you edit your PDF's without the need to read some honking manual in order to learn it. All of these things extend older dos print support.
